Application process
Before you can submit your application, someone from your school must attend the Green School Workshop (this is mandatory for all applicants). The workshop will give you the basic information you will need to help your school take successful steps towards sustainability. The application can be downloaded here. The major components of the application include:
- A cover sheet completed and signed by the principal, SAC chair, and two lead teachers.
- A narrative summary of your schools green activities.
- Documentation of all required criteria for recognition.
- If your school was selected as 2010 Green School of Promise, Quality or Excellence you are not required to attended a Green Schools Recognition Program Workshop. You are still required to give notice to Susan Toth (stoth2@fau.edu)of your schools intent to apply no later than September 30th.
Workshop Dates
Pine Jog Environmental Education Center invites you to attend one of the four Green Schools Recognition Program workshop dates. All schools desiring to apply to the Green Schools Recognition Program are required to send a representative to one of the following workshop dates. However, if your school received Green School Recognition last year (School Year 2009 - 2010) attendance is encouraged but not mandatory.

Thursday, September 30
Location: Florida Atlantic University-Jupiter Campus
Time: 2:30pm - 4:30pm
Friday, October 15
Location: Palm Beach Central Hight School-In conjunction with the Learn Green Conference and Expo
